foto about

When I think about my first camera, I recall wonderful memories from the 80s with my parent’s Polaroid. “What an awesome object!” – I used to tell myself. However, during my childhood my life was kept busy with another artistic activity: painting. I started to paint when I was 4 years old, and as soon as I reached 18, I moved to Madrid (Spain) and later to Venice (Italy) in order to complete a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts.  At University I resumed my passion for photography and had the chance to build my own camera obscura… I felt absolutely fascinated, OMG! From that magic moment until now I’ve been improving my photography knowledge and equipment.

I usually don’t like routines or conventionalism…  I would rather visit new and exciting places, meet interesting, unconventional people and try exotic food. But sometimes I need to be surrounded by family and close friends, to watch French movies or simply to inspire myself by photographing amazing landscapes. My first approach with wedding photography was absolutely unexpected:  I’ve always loved weddings, bride dresses…everything related to it.  But I have wrongly been thinking that wedding photographers were still hidebound, traditional, and to be honest, a little boring and unfashionable.  Then, I met an amazing Spanish photographer who has already started capturing weddings in a different, odd, contemporary way – almost like a photojournalist.  Suddenly, I understood what was going to be my future…
